Students/ Non-Paid Internships & Volunteers
We appreciate your interest in volunteering or serving as a non-paid student intern at Serving Children and Reaching Families, LLC (SCARF). For paid student internship opportunities, please visit our employment section for posted positions. The primary goal of SCARF Student Non-Paid Internship Program and volunteer opportunities is to provide relevant, meaningful and professional workplace experiences for students/volunteers interested in pursuing careers related, but not limited to, professional counseling, tutoring, substance abuse and/or social services.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students/volunteers must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited high school, trade, technical/vocational school; junior/community or a four-year college or university; or any other recognized accredited educational institution;
- The minimum age for interns is 17. Students must be in good standing academically and eligible to continue as an enrolled student in respective institutions;
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and must demonstrate a willingness and ability to work with all populations
- Students/volunteers must be U.S. citizens be able to successfully pass a background check and must sign a privacy agreement prior to working with any client.
