Events
Serving Children and Reaching Families (SCARF) and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) developed and provided youth prevention workshops and training to Law Enforcement personnel and School Resource Managers that to addressed youth safety and crimes for youth (child abduction, sexual exploitation and human trafficking). These training were delivered at no charge to participants via live, in-person workshops and convenient webinars.
Events Description: The training focused on programs that address the issues facing youth at risk of delinquency between the ages of five and seventeen (17). The goal of the presentations is to divert youth who pose no real threat to public safety away from the juvenile justice system through a serious of workshops and presentations which will support a safe environment and provide youth and their families’ positive alternatives for delinquent behaviors.
