Parenting Classes

(Osceola, Orange, Seminole, & Polk areas)

SCARF parenting program provides individual and group classes to youths and adults who have children who are at risk of being placed in the Department of Children and Families’ foster care system, or to those parents whose children are in the foster care system and require parenting classes to reunify with their children.  Group classes are conducted within SCARF offices and individual classes are conducted within our offices, or patients’ homes.

The goal of SCARF’s parenting program is to improve participants parenting skills by educating parents on area specific topics that promote children’s health, safety and well-being. Successful completion of all 12 week sessions will yield a parenting certification of completion to each parent and progress notes outlining participants’ participation, as well as recommendation for aftercare service to court officials, attorneys, or case managers, if required.  Click Here to find out more about our next class.

This program also provides – supportive counseling and crisis intervention services, when allowable by regulations and funding availability.
